Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna is ramping up pressure on the Department of Justice (DOJ) for failing to respond to her repeated inquiries regarding the release of the Epstein and JFK files. As the leader of the declassification task force, Luna has taken her demands public, urging Attorney General Pam Bondi to address the status of the long-awaited documents.
Luna revealed that the House Oversight Committee sent letters to the DOJ on February 11 and February 19, requesting updates on the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and other classified materials. However, despite these formal requests, the DOJ has yet to provide any response.
Frustrated by the lack of communication, Luna took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to call out Bondi directly.
“Reaching out on X because we can’t seem to get a response from the AG. @AGPamBondi, what is the status of the documents? These documents were ordered to be declassified.”
The congresswoman’s reference to declassification orders stems from directives issued under the Trump administration, which mandated the release of these sensitive records. The lack of transparency and continued delays have fueled concerns among lawmakers and the public regarding the government’s handling of the information.
Luna’s public appeal adds to growing pressure on the DOJ to comply with congressional oversight and fulfill prior declassification orders. The issue remains a focal point of government accountability and public interest, as many continue to seek answers on both the Epstein case and the long-standing mysteries surrounding JFK’s assassination.
